Stable Vets

Created in 2015, Stable Vets began in partnership with the Delta Vet Center in Modesto, CA. This group Project saw six groups of a combination of veterans, combat veterans, veterans needing PTSD support, and spouses. This Project was then put on hold due to the pandemic.​

In 2023, Stable Vets relocated to northern Nevada. In November '24, we wrapped up our first support group after 9 weeks, adding horsemanship as part of the Project. The goal of Operation Charlie (horsemanship) is to culminate in a Mounted Military Color Guard, which will promote veteran, active duty and retired racehorse resilience and wellness.  This Color Guard will be able to represent at Rodeos, Parades, and other public events.
