Healing Arenas Gains Accreditation and Granting During 2020!

In an important year for horseracing and aftercare, Healing Arenas gains it’s first Aftercare Accreditation from the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, the premier aftercare organization of the United States, who’s mission and vision is:  The 501(c)(3) nonprofit Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance accreditsinspects, and awards grants to approved aftercare organizations to retrain, retire, and rehome Thoroughbreds using industry-wide funding.

Funded initially by seed money from Breeders’ Cup Ltd., The Jockey Club, and Keeneland Association Inc., the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) is supported by owners, trainers, breeders, racetracks, aftercare professionals, and other industry groups.

Since 2012, the TAA has granted more than $17.2 million to accredited aftercare organizations and 11,000 Thoroughbreds have been retrained, rehomed, or retired by accredited organizations.

Currently, 81 organizations with approximately 170 facilities hold TAA accreditation.

We are honored to hold accreditation through the organization and will work diligently to retain this important piece for the horses, and in turn, the humans we help through our organization.  Read more here:  https://www.thoroughbredaftercare.org/thoroughbred-aftercare-alliance-accredits-34-organizations/

To continue on with our successful year, and not to be outdone, is our recent granting from the Thoroughbred Charities of America!  This grant will provide important funds for winter feed, as well as part sponsorship for tuition for our new Frontline Wellness events for first responders and healthcare workers!  We want to thank the TCA for their recognition of our work with off the track thoroughbreds for helping our heros, especially during 2020!
